I Know My Place
I call on Thee Lord Jesus, to reign sovereign in my life,
take command and safeguard me from all strife as You show me my rightful place
within a grace filled life.
Knight me, Heavenly Father, in the service of Christ the
King, into my life His hard earned grace I plea that You will bring.
Nurture me with the grace of humility Lord, stifle my
prideful tendency, for pride puffs up my ego like a gaseous balloon, and adds
nothing of value .
Obeying the dictates of Your Word, I ask for fellowship
often Lord, so that my decisions are blest by Thee and prove fruitful in Thine
eyes.
Withstanding temptation’s call, I ask that You continue
filling me with Your grace, that I may honor Thee in the conduct of my life’s
race.
Many and diverse are the duties that clammer to be
filled, few of them are by Your Will mine,
help me to know my place in Your plan Lord, for all of them are Thine.
Yeshua, Thou art the One True God, make me joyfully
subservient to Thee in all things, grant that vainglory is not my sin and all
my deeds and desires serve to honor Thee.
Prayer is my link with You Lord, so I ask for the grace
of clarity that I may pray according to Thy Will and thus give You the glory
and all Your commands fulfill.
Let me not lead others on my own authority Lord, least
without Thee, I lead others astray, for heavy is the penalty I would then have
to pay.
Accepting by prayer, Your Will in all things, and
knowing all I need will be properly met, I have freely become Your humble
servant, Lord.
Control my tendency Lord, to take up the reins of
authority on my own, for such authority, taken without Your consent, is
questionable at best.
Each one is given, according to Thy Will, his or her own
task to fulfill, I know my place, is to act according to Thy Will, so with Thy
grace I implore Thee make my pride be still.
